OVERVIEW

Stage-ready setup without all the frills.

The ESP E-II ST-2 features a basswood body with a flamed maple top, a bolt-on maple neck, 25.5" scale and 22 extra-jumbo frets on a rosewood fingerboard on a thin-U neck. And pair of DiMarzio CTM Direct Mount (B) & (N) pickups launch notes down the signal path. A Floyd Rose Original tremolo bridge allows for all the dive bombs and squeals your brain can conjure while Gotoh tuners keep everything cinched down and in-tune through heavy crunches and string-stretching leads.

Comments about ESP E-II ST-2 Electric Guitar with Rosewood Fretboard:

I love the configuration of this ST-2 with dimarzio's, i already have an ST-1 with EMG's so i thought this would be a nice companion with passive pickups. The description at first said quilted maple, which is the newer within a few years style. This one when i opened it is an earlier maple 2013-15? with just the grain that goes across straight, which i like. It's more subtle then the quilted which is a wavy look. But anyways, my first color was the older STBLK which the description details said it was, but at the top description was maple, which was my 2nd choice, so i bought it taking a chance. The guitar has no dents, no small scratches, which i'd find if it was played for awhile and wasn't cared for much. But this guitar actually looks mint as was described. The only reason it was discounted was i got one of the older ones, which i dont mind at all. Going to re-string and re-tune the floyd rose, but i briefly checked for fret buzz and seemed fine. The bridge and neck didn't seem to show any scratch or weird wear marks either, so it's as new as you're going to get for an open box guitar. Pretty happy with the purchase, would buy another open box guitar in the future if i see one i like.

Comments about ESP E-II ST-2 Electric Guitar with Rosewood Fretboard:

All I can say is the quality craftsmanship of the guitar is outstanding. From the neck feel to the custom designed/wound pickups make this a true player. I would have given this a 5 Star if it wasn't for the Linear Volume Pot that only responded in the last quarter of a turn and the incredibly sloppy feeling tone pot. It turns so easily I swear if you were to swing the guitar the force could turn it. That being said, I've replaced both with CTS pots and the guitar is now spot on. I truly love how it sounds and plays.
