Comments about ESP LTD M-100FM Electric Guitar:

This guitar is well made. Very solid, heavy and balanced, the finish is beautiful, very strong and will last. The tone is full, tight and well projected. On the other hand, the Floyd Rose unit is poor. Not only won't it keep you in tune, but when you pull the whammy bar up, the big intonation screw-heads will touch the strings and either mute them or change the pitch. The pickups aren't too good either, but that's expected for a guitar of such price. Nice deep and tight sound, good for metal, rock or jazz, and depending on what pickups you put on it, it can even play blues. If you buy this guitar you will need to buy a trem-stabilizer to help you with the tuning, and the intonation screw-heads a bit and put a nice set of new pickups on it. You will have then a very, VERY good guitar I have DiMarzio Super distortion (bridge) and airnorton (neck), which gives it an almost acoustic sound when played clean in the middle position. I recommend this guitar to those who are willing to work on it and upgrade it. The end result will make you very happy. Good luck with it
