A Custom Shop recreation of a prized vintage era.
1965 was the year that Leo Fender sold his original company, and guitars from that period are prized vintage pieces many players consider to be among the best guitars ever to come out of the original Fullerton factory. This Custom Shop Relic Telecaster pays tribute to those guitars, capturing the sound and vibe of these American originals.
The relic-finished guitar features a tinted, rift-sawn maple neck with a modern 9.5" radius round-laminated maple fingerboard with medium frets for playing comfort. Tele"twang" arrives courtesy of hand-wound '64 Tele pickups, with the addition of Fender's Greasebucket tone circuit for added versatility. Vintage-style tuners, mid-'60s steel saddle bridge and a 3-ply parchment pickguard round out the vibe. As with all of our Fender Custom Shop instruments, it comes with a deluxe hard case and certificate of Authenticity.
If you're interested in any of our custom shop, limited-run or other premium instruments, we encourage you to call and talk with one of our knowledgeable, well-trained staff for more detailed information about any specific guitar.
