The Fox Renard Model 222 bassoon is an excellent choice for student musicians ready to embark on their musical journey. The 222 produces a warm, balanced tone and plays with stable intonation across its range. This bassoon features a full German key system with silver-plated keys, handcrafted by Fox's expert technicians. The 222 comes with two C bocals, a Renard artist bassoon reed, a neck strap, a seat strap, cleaning supplies, and a plush-lined case—everything a budding bassoonist needs to get started. The 222's maple body is carefully selected and cured to provide a rich, resonant tone. Its German bell features an attractive synthetic ivory ring. The wing and boot joints are lined to prevent moisture damage.
The full German key system has silver-plated keys, including rollers for the right little finger F and Ab and left little finger Eb and Db. A plateau key for the left-hand third finger aids younger players.
