Comments about Gibson 2015 SG Special Electric Guitar:

OK, I have a 2010 SG Special.
Excellent body, neck wood, and shaping.
Love the alnico 2 pups! Excellent chord clarity in overdrive distortion.
Go price some US made A2 pups if you think these are cheap.
Fret work excellent.
I like the thin finish, the body sounds better.
Only bummers…
Mine has the pups mounted to the pickguard, so the pup face is not parallel to the strings. I fixed that with angled pup rings.
Then there's the the quick disconnect circuit board, and no shielding.
That's for quick assembly = low labor cost.
I got a noisy tone pot, but the whole circuit board's gotta go, just to change the tone pot.
Yes I'd buy this guitar again, but…

Comments about Gibson 2015 SG Special Electric Guitar:

I've been playing guitar for a little over 15 years now. I've played expensive guitars in the past. I picked up this SG and fell in love. Its pretty light weight and the sound works great with my amps.GForce Tuning was a little odd at first, but it grows on you. I'd recommend this to anyone that doesnt want to pay an arm and a leg but also dont want to go the cheap route.

Comments about Gibson 2015 SG Special Electric Guitar:

I received this beauty as a Xmas present last year instead of a Standard. Out of the box, it was gorgeous and ready to play. At first, I had that shock that I was actually holding and playing a Gibson. The case is a nice touch as well.
However, despite the solid feel and lighter than my Ibanez, the 61' Zebra's didn't soothe this beast. In comparison to my Ibanez's Duncan's, the sound is less bright and has more of a classic rock vibe to it. In addition, switching to clean, in comparison to the Duncan's, there's still a good amount of distortion, despite which pickup you're in.
Overall, this is a god guitar just needs better pickups than the 61' Zebra's.
