Comments about Gold Tone CC Plectrum:
The plectrum banjo has the same size as a 5-string, but without the short 5th drone string, and was developed to play chords with a pick. This is a very well-made 4-string banjo with very low action, yet no string buzz. It has a excellent volume and bright tone (maple body), because it has a brass tone ring (but not the really heavy kind). If you play guitar with a pick, you can play this 4-string banjo almost immediately by tuning it to DGBE, like the upper 4 strings of a guitar, and use a capo without a 5th string to worry about. (This is what Bob Shane used when he played with the original Kingston Trio - the opening notes of "Tom Dooley" are played on a 4-string plectrum banjo like this one).
