Comments about Gretsch Guitars G6128T-TVTAFTB Power Jet Electric Guitar:

She plays like a dream, and doesn't fight back, like some guitars. The Powertrons themselves are fantastic, they can go from enough twang to make you want to rip the treble knob off you amp to bluesy growling. They can handle relatively high gain, but respond much better to fuzz then to more modern distortion. Being an SG player, the switch to single cut was not as bad as I thought it would be, and she just feels way better in my hands then the Les Pauls I've tried. The locking tuners are fantastic, despite thrashing the Bigsby, she retains tune. Alternate tunings are no problem, and the ebony fretboard feels like silk under your fingers. The soft v shaped neck is incredibly comfortable, and of course the flamed top is beautiful. Truly a top class (and incredibly versatile to boot) guitar.

Comments about Gretsch Guitars G6128T-TVTAFTB Power Jet Electric Guitar:

Overall, the best attempt at a rocker guitar for Gretsch. The TruArc bridge has surprisingly good intonation given the bridge is pinned and you can only adjust bridge height. I thought I'd have to replace it with something with adjustable saddles but the intonation is close enough that it's unnecessary. The solid aluminum bridge definitely increases the sustain and brightens the tone. The TV Jones pickups sound great. I wouldn't call these frets medium jumbo. They feel more like a medium sized fret. They are bigger than what's on my Malcolm Young model but those frets are tiny. The pots and caps they used are low quality. I shouldn't have to upgrade these parts on a guitar this expensive. The guitar looks better without the pickguard. They should leave it off. My Les Paul came with the pickguard uninstalled. I much prefer that. Why cover up the nice flame top? The flame is more prominent than the pics show. I now have 2 holes in my guitar where the pickguard was mounted. It's also pretty heavy for a semihollow. Negatives aside, its the best option for rock players wanting the Gretsch tone. The tone switch is awesome. It can get throaty vowel tones just flicking a switch. This guitar can get nasty but it retains clarity too. The locking tuners, strap locks, TruArc, and TV Jones pickups are awesome standard features.

Comments about Gretsch Guitars G6128T-TVTAFTB Power Jet Electric Guitar:

I picked up one of the transparent white versions of this limited edition Power Jet...and boy, am I glad I grabbed while the getting was good. I don't recall seeing a trans white Jet before, and this one is a beauty.
Classic styling, stunning looks, excellent craftsmanship...even the factory set-up wasn't too bad. I was up and running in minutes.
Maybe the coolest thing about this guitar is the versatility. I can play Duane Eddy to Brian Setzer to Radiohead to AC/DC to Tesla on this thing and it all works. Just a lovely instrument.
