OVERVIEW

A solid African mahogany dreadnought for great looks and a great tone throughout.

The full-bodied and powerful tone of this Guild dreadnought provides guitarists with a classic acoustic sound and balanced voicing. Built with solid African mahogany top, back and sides, the D-120 features an Indian Rosewood fingerboard and bridge, NuBone nut and saddle, and mother-of-pearl rosette.

This model also has a 1-¾ nut width on a vintage shaped Guild neck, iconic Chesterfield headstock emblem reminiscent of 1960s Guilds, period-correct tortoiseshell pickguard, and Guild' new lightweight polyfoam case.

Comments about Guild D-120 Acoustic Guitar:

I own the 2014 version of this model (the D125.) The tone is rich and even when strummed but articulates well for flatpicking melodies. When I played it for the first time I was surprised how vibrant it was. After playing other mahogany guitars, I wasn't expecting to like the sound this much. The action is low without buzzing on the frets. I really enjoy playing this instrument.

Comments about Guild D-120 Acoustic Guitar:

BUYER BEWARE!! Nice sounding guitar unfortunately received one with a defective neck. When I received the guitar there was a huge under bow in the neck. Took it to a very respected local guitar tech and he got it adjusted the best he could but there was a huge hump were the neck meets the body rendered from the 9th fret through the 12th fret unplayable. He said the only sure fix would be a complete re-fret and shaving fret board down and would cost almost as much as I paid for the guitar. Guild apparently needs to work on their quality control. It's apparently luck of the draw with these you may get a good one you may not. With all that being said the frets that I could play the guitar sounded beautiful! Just returned it and had to pay for shipping. If your going to buy Chinese made Guilds I would make sure your able look at them and inspect them for defects so you don't get ripped off like I did. Well lesson learned I guess :(
