Professional Piccolos from the historic William S. Haynes Company
Quality and Design
Originally hand-crafted by a gifted young silversmith, Haynes continues to create flutes and piccolos that reflect the very same unmistaken passion for excellence... over a century later. William S. Haynes, son of a sea captain and a Virginia school teacher, opened his flutemaking shop in historic Boston in 1888. From the onset, Haynes labored tirelessly to improve the unique sound of his instrument, experimenting with materials, mechanics, and headjoint design. And the tradition continues. Today, a dynamic group of true artisans strive to perpetuate this coveted heritage, guided by Lewis J. Deveau, president and master flutemaker, par excellence. As a result, the Wm. S. Haynes Company preserves the recognized position of world leader in craftsmanship and innovative design.Solid Silver Piccolo
