OVERVIEW

Built using only the finest materials under the strictest quality control measures imaginable.

The return of a legend. The Artist is back. Recognized as the guitar that declared Ibanez as a force to be reckoned with back in that golden age of rock known as the '70s this Prestige rendering of the Artist brings Ibanez full circle. Like the original, this Artist is also a product of Japan, only now bearing the Prestige label, signifying it has been built using only the finest materials under the strictest quality control measures imaginable.

Like the classics of yesteryear, the AR2619s mahogany body features a symmetrical double-cutaway and multi-layered body binding that gracefully outlines its exquisite flamed maple top. Arguably, it is the biggest leap forward Ibanez made 40 years ago that will be most appreciated by todays player: the Tri-Sound switching systema unique pickup configuration control that pack this axe with a rich tonal palette.

No matter what the setting, the 2619s Super 80 Flying Finger pickups deliver smooth, warm, vintage sound that make this Artist a must for fans of classic rock tone. The 3-piece maple set-in neck features old school Pearl/Abalone block inlays, and is expertly joined to the body, and finished with a baby-smooth heel. The AR2619 is the true path back to one of rocks most dynamic chapters. Hardshell case included.

Comments about Ibanez AR2619 Prestige Artist Series Electric Guitar:

So, up until I bought this guitar, I was playing on a 1983 Les Paul Studio. I almost bought one of the new 2017 Les Paul Standard HP guitars. I am really glad that I didn't. This guitar sounds really really good. It has a mahogany body, and the clarity of tone and sustain are great. It has an extremely fast neck, I predominantly play lead, and I feel right at home on this guitar. This guitar is a beast for rock and hard rock, when I kick the distortion on my Blackstar HTclub50 on it sounds super mean. It won't quite do hard metal, but for that I recommend active pick ups anyways. When I am playing clean on the amp, this is literally the warmest tone I have ever gotten out of any guitar I have owned, but it stays clear, the bass doesn't get muddy like some guitars I have owned. I am elated I found a high end Ibanez with a fixed bridge! I bought the cherry sunburst version and could not be happy with how it looks and the quality of construction. Overall, I very much recommend this guitar to anyone wanting to play rock, blues, jazz, etc.

Comments about Ibanez AR2619 Prestige Artist Series Electric Guitar:

The Ibanez Artist AR-2619 is a masterpiece of of workmanship. The Prestige line of Ibanez is built in Japan. This guitar exemplifies the long running history of the Ibanez Japan Factory. This guitar holds it's own amongst the 40 year old Musician Ibanez models in my collection. It has such a solid feel which makes playing it effortless and produces a sustain second to none. It is well at home with it's Ibanez brothers and sisters. Starting on the left, a 2014 Ibanez Artist AR-320 purchased from Musicians Friend! It is built in China but lives up to the Ibanez Brand. Next is a 1978 Ibanez Musician MC-200. The middle guitar is the pinnacle of the Musician series, a 1979 MC-500. Then there is another 1978 MC-200. The far right shows the new family member, direct from Musician's Friend, THE Ibanez Artist Prestige AR-2619. What a beauty! I love this new guitar. I love Musician's Friend for getting me the best gear straight to my door!. Thanks again, Musician's Friend!

Comments about Ibanez AR2619 Prestige Artist Series Electric Guitar:

I'm forntunate to own many guitars - Les Pauls, Strats, Teles, PRSs, Gretsch, etc. I decided to pick up this Ibanez Artist to try something a little different, and because I knew a guy or two who had played one from years ago. This guitar is really fantastic, and should be added to your collection. Solid, well made, comfortable, beautiful, and sounds and feels great.
