OVERVIEW

Solid top, all-mahogany body with Fishman and Ibanez electronics for more power and control.

Ibanez created the Artwood Series to be an ode to their rich tradition of acoustic guitars while adding the modern accoutrements needed by today's guitarist. The AW54CEOPN is a visual stunner with a solid mahogany top (with mahogany back, sides, and neck) and an open pore natural finish that really shows off the mahogany's beautiful woodgrain. Adding to its aesthetic charm is a black and white multi-rosette, a cutaway that helps you access the entire rosewood fingerboard, a rosewood AW bridge with bone saddle, tortoise pickguard and chrome die-cast Grover tuners.

The mahogany construction provides you with plenty of warmth naturally, but when you need to plug in, the AW54CEOPN has a Fishman Sonicore pickup and Ibanez's AEQ-SP2 preamp that features a simple 2-band control, which makes adjusting the bass and treble easy. It also has a user-friendly onboard tuner and volume control.

Case sold separately.

Comments about Ibanez AW54CEOPN Artwood Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I am a fan of the light weight minimally finished guitars for day to day use and studio work. The freedom of the grain usually gives them a great voice right out of the box. This guitar really embodies that. Unplugged, this guitar matches or exceeds the volume and tone of guitars 3 or 4 times the price without the frills and extra weight. The richness of the mahogany always draws a comment when people, especially fellow musicians, first see it. Action is really nice. Just a great bang for the buck in my opinion.

Comments about Ibanez AW54CEOPN Artwood Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Love at first strum... not too mention good looks. I have several low-end guitars that I use for different purposes. I needed another one to play a small venue... this fit the bill. However, I was very impressed with the tone, quality, action and overall playability of this guitar. The mahogany top really sounds sweet! I hope this review is helpful... truly, this is a really nice guitar for a budget price. Better than Dean, Epiphone, Jasmine etc... I know I own them all.

Comments about Ibanez AW54CEOPN Artwood Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

This guitar has a beautiful, rich tone thanks to the characteristics of mahogany. I play with a musician using a 50 year old Gibson and this is almost as rich. Built-in pickups are nice and the onboard tuner is a plus. Easy action and fun to play. Love this guitar! I would not hesitate to buy a returned guitar from Musicians Friend in the future. This was truly like a brand new guitar

Comments about Ibanez AW54CEOPN Artwood Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Nice instrument for price if on sale. comes with tags indicating made in Japan and another sweedish country but the guitar itself came with Made in China label inside the hole. The guitar does not ring out when playing acousticly but does have a quality sound. electronics didnt impress but adequate. strings twanged giving a terrible sound when plugged in. Maybe a better, softer replacement set will help. not sure.
