OVERVIEW

Smaller than traditional full-hollow bodies with topnotch articulation and playability.

The Ibanez Artcore Expressionist AG95 full-hollow electric guitar gives you an amazing guitar at an affordable price. You also get the quality and tone you expect from Ibanez, the guitar company with over four decades of experience making full and semi-acoustic guitars.

Unlike many so-called full-hollow guitars in the more affordable price ranges that feature soundblocks, Ibanez Artcore full-acoustic guitars are truly full-hollow. The figured bubinga AG95 guitar is crafted with a 3-piece maple/mahogany neck for additional stability and strength. Super 58 pickups deliver the smooth, nuanced tones and the biting growl of blues.

Looks Great, Sounds Great, a Great Value but ....

Comments about Ibanez Artcore Expressionist AG95 Hollowbody Electric Guitar:

I really like this guitar! It is very attractive, light weight and sized just right. In spite of it's relatively small size, the sound is genuine hollowbody. Mellow on the neck pickup and sufficiently twangy on the bridge. Most styles of music from jazz to Rock are possible with this guitar. Feedback becomes an issue when the volume gets high. Setup was a snap, but I was disappointed by several sharp fret edges. Until I get this fixed, it definitely does not have a "fast neck". In spite of this, it's still really nice for the price.

Lovely and an Excellent Value

Comments about Ibanez Artcore Expressionist AG95 Hollowbody Electric Guitar:

This is a really nice guitar for the money. Ibanez seems to have gone all out on the cosmetics. The Bubinga wood is absolutely lovely, the gold hardware looks sharp and the overall finish quality is great. Set up was a snap and a low action without any fret buzzing was easily achieved. This is an easy to handle, small & light hollowbody compared to say a bulky Gretsch or Epi Broadway. It's only about half the weight of my Les Paul! The sound quality is very good with a broad range of tone settings. The neck humbucker is really mellow & smooth and the bridge pickup gets a good, twangy bite. Most musical styles can easily be accommodated by balancing their independent volume & tone controls. Feedback occurs with high volumes and overdive (to be expected from a hollowbody). Sustain seems excellent for a hollowbody. It sounds great on a clean channel for finger style, ballads, soft rock and jazz. Rock (not Heavy Metal)with plenty of effects is also possible. My one squawk is that several frets were left with sharp ends. This is obviously unacceptable and I will have to get mine worked on. I tried one at the local music store and found it to be similar. You would think that such an important aspect of playability would have received greater attention. I would have given this guitar a 5 star rating but for this. Still, for it's price it's a cool guitar.
