Comments about JBL SRX828SP Dual 18" Powered Subwoofer:

We just installed and ordered 2 of these things for our church. Currently 150 people but growing. We used these to replace our Harbinger hx118s and Crown XLS602 amp. And I have to say, these things are astounding. I demoed a SRX818SP at guitar center before placing an order here on MF.

The salesman at GC was really trying to push me on to the Yorkville PSA2S but the JBLs sounded so much better. (I think he was trying to move them) The JBLs went lower and sounded cleaner. The Yorkvilles had more headroom, but just didn't have the sound we were looking for.

By installing 2 of these we were able to really add depth to our mix with out increasing decibels. You can feel the kick move you in the back and that's what we were looking for.

They were easy to set up, heavy but not bad with 2 people. But were not moving them every week. We got a lot of complements on how they sounded. And they look fantastic, very clean, and professional looking. We plan on purchasing 2-4 SRX835p's to complement them.

Comments about JBL SRX828SP Dual 18" Powered Subwoofer:

First off we have Yamaha sw cabs loaded with kilomax subs which hit hard. Bought stx 828. Dual jbl subs rated at 4,000watts program 8,000 peak powered with crown 4002 in bridge mode pumping 3200 watts.. This powered 2,000 watt sub at peak power hits low notes below kick drum sound and hits them harder than the stx with less than half the watts. This cab is louder, hits lower and sounds way cleaner. We were always passive pa only because the powered speakers never impressed me but this jbl is a game changer. Itl blow qsc kw18 out the water

Comments about JBL SRX828SP Dual 18" Powered Subwoofer:

Just ran these for the first time after spending all last year using a pair of DB S30N powered dual 18s. These easily compare, work on 15 amp circuits much better. The acoustics are cleaner and more developed with the same tracks and settings I used with the DBs. It's easily as loud if not louder even though both state a max SPL of 141. When you get them they're at -100 input gain so make sure you set them to 0. Changing their crossover setting doesn't change your input. I didn't find this online anywhere so I thought I'd mention this.
My first use of them was a St. Patrick's day marathon of 2 bands with DJing breaks starting around 3:30 pm and running until 1:30 am. Beasts did the whole event, no sweat. Sounded beautiful.
