Solid, but some flaws

Comments about King 2020 Legend Series Bb Flugelhorn:

A bit darker tone than Yamaha or Vintage One horns, but also more tonal versatility. Pitch is good. Biggest problem for me is the first valve trigger can push the slide off the tubes that it slides on, so you are out of business until you stop and wiggle the slide crook back on. You have to remember to use the first valve trigger sparingly, and this is annoying enough that I just don't use it. Overall, I like the horn…

A very good horn

Comments about King 2020 Legend Series Bb Flugelhorn:

Intonation is good; tone is flexible- brighter than a Yamaha if you want it to be. Valves are slightly troublesome (sticky), and first valve trigger pops the crook off the slide, disabling the horn, if you push it too far. All in all, better tone than a Vintage One or Yamaha, in my opinion.
