OVERVIEW

A modern take on the classic rail consolette mount.

The A.T.L.A.S. Arch offers infinite tom positioning and solid tom mounting with enhanced sustain and resonance in each drum. The Arch easily mounts to your bass drum by replacing two lugs with two included A.T.L.A.S. Mounts; no drilling required.

Utilizing the revolutionary A.T.L.A.S. mount, the rail and sliding tom mounting arm are totally isolated from the shell, ensuring the tone of each individual drum without "cross-talk" when played together.

Comments about Ludwig The A.T.L.A.S. Arch:

I bought a Ludwig centennial Zep kit with the 26 inch bass drum and didn't really like using the rims mounts that came with it and mounting the tom off my cymbal stand. I found out about this and had to try it and really like it, fits great!

Comments about Ludwig The A.T.L.A.S. Arch:

I own the Ludwig Classic Maple w/ a 24" bass drum. The Tom is 14" and super heavy. Putting it on a snare stand is lame, and it felt too heavy to mount on a stand. This bracket attached easily to the bass drum using the holes from two lugs. It fit perfectly. It is sturdy enough to hold a 14' tom steadily giving free placement for my cymbal stands. If you like to mount your drums to the Bass drum like I do, then you will love this.

Comments about Ludwig The A.T.L.A.S. Arch:

Nice product but it did not fit my 20" ten lug Bass drum. The spacing is probably correct for a 22" ten lug drum. Build quality and appearance is very nice. Returned for credit, I'll need another option.

Comments about Ludwig The A.T.L.A.S. Arch:

I have an early 70's Ludwig kit and got tired of having to use two different size wrenches on the tom post and then the tom mount itself. Secondly, it always seemed that I was chasing the tom around because i could never get the tom post tight enough not to move during gigs.
Occasionally I would use a snare drum stand for the tom, but that stand takes up room in the hardware bag.
So i decided to purchase this ATLAS mount. Opening the box I immediately noticed that the tom post was too big for the old style Ludwig mount on my rack tom. I wish the description would have specified the diameter of the tom post. Luckily I had a RIMS mount laying around, so I just installed the RIMS mount for now.
The ATLAS mount installed very easily, took me maybe 15 minutes. That was time to remove drum head, take lugs off, install mount and reassemble.
I played a gig that same night with this kit and it worked out great. I was able to quickly position the rack tom where I wanted it and it stayed put all night.
One thing to take into consideration is if you have drum cases, the tension lug casings do stick out a considerable amount further than the others, which may stop you from being able to put your bass drum into it's current case. I have soft bags and there was enough room for me to pull the bag over.

Overall, I am happy with the mount system. It's very sturdy and keeps that rack tom in the exact place that I set it. No more chasing it around after a couple songs or so. This mount, together with that RIMS that I mentioned, made the 12" rack tom just sing away. Sounded great!
