The curved shape helps you to keep plenty of your auxiliary instruments within easy reach, while still allowing you to fit it into your percussion setup with no space wasted. The inner raised edge is padded, so your hand percussion and other instruments may be picked up and set down with absolute minimum contact noise. The Meinl Ergo table has double-braced legs to keep it all secure and stable.
