Comments about Manhasset MH-1000 Music Lamp:

This stand light is hard to beat! It lights up the music well, without throwing a ton of light into the space around you, which is excellent for very many performance situations where a stand light is required. It is extremely well built. And, since it is not battery powered- like so many seem to be today, you do not have to worry about being without light. To go green, I picked up an inexpensive LED Tubular type bulb that works very very well and only is a couple of watts but throws a lot of light. You can't go wrong with this lamp!

    Replace the bulb

Comments about Manhasset MH-1000 Music Lamp:

Manhasset stand lights are the standard. The solid bracket in the back keeps the light out of the audience and the conductor's eyes. My only complaint is most CFL and LED bulbs will not fit. Usually either the gap in the shade is too small or the socket doesn't let the bulb sit deeply enough to work. I've found the GE Bright Stick LED works great AND is better quality light than the tubular incandescent.

New lamps (dtandard version) are cheaply made

Comments about Manhasset MH-1000 Music Lamp:

Recently purchased two lights from a local music store. Both broke at the seam between the light cover and the stanchion the first time they were mounted on the stand front. Ordered four more at the same time from WWBW but did not open them in hopes of returning them. Too late, so I'm stuck with them. I have purchased and used Manhasset lights for over fifty years. This is the first - and last - time I've ever broken any of them. The good news is, I used the innards to replace the sockets in a couple of my old ones. At least they're good for parts. I contacted Manasset through their web site but received no answer. . Signs of the times, I guess.

    Love These Lamps!!!

Comments about Manhasset MH-1000 Music Lamp:

These lamps clip securely to the top of Manhassett music stands, and provide plenty of light to read music regardless of how dark the room is. There is just enough room inside each lamp to screw the light bulbs in and out. (If you screw them in too tight it may be a challenge to unscrew them later.) The brightest light shines about 1/3 of the way down most sheet music. The lamps are not designed to be adjustable (which is good because they would probably slip after awhile), but may be bent slightly to suit user preferences. The cords are rather short (8'), but a power strip easily solves that problem. For greatest convenience, I leave my lamps on the music stands and secure rolled up cords with Velcro straps.
