The MEINL Percussion Cajon Drum Set hybrid percussion kit is a portable rhythm station that provides the essential ingredients to drumming: kick, snare and hi-hat. This set includes everything needed for players looking to perform their normal drum set rhythms in smaller, intimate acoustic settings.
At the foundation of the arrangement is a birch wood cajon without snares for enhanced bass notes and the MEINL Direct Drive Cajon Pedal. Made in Europe with a light brown body and natural front plate, the birch construction of the cajon gives players superb low-end punch with a warm and focused tone. The responsive and durable driect drive cajon pedal cradles the cajon for optimal stability while providing deep bass tones with its soft beater, specifically designed for cajons.
Add in the dimension of a snare drum with the MEINL Mountable Cajon Snare. When attached to the hi-hat stand with the multi-clamp, this 7.5" disc sits naturally where a snare drum would on a drum kit. Its internal snare wires and hollow rubber wood body give out a cutting sound for heavy backbeats, funk patterns, and jazzy rhythms.
The MEINL HCS 13” hi-hats with the MEINL Low Hat stand round out the setup. These cymbals deliver crisp “chick” sounds when closed with a sizzling “slosh” when played open. The cymbals come with the MEINL Low Hat Stand, which has an ideal height for seated cajon players.
