Comments about Meinl Weston 45 SLZ 6/4 5 Rotary Valve F Tuba:

Although Meinl Weston markets this horn as the rotary sister to the 45SLP, only a few minuates with this will change your mind. It moves very fluidly in all registers but also has a very strong sound when desired, the SLP doesn't seem to have this charector or personality, it is very "vanilla". The erganomics of this horn are also much more comfortable in slide position and the fifth valve trigger. The trigger is place in a small brace/bridge, which is not surrounding the thumb but lets you have free movement. Although this horn has wide slots and very good intonation, some slide pulling is required. The one downfall I found is that the first valve slide is uncomfortable to pull.
