A perfect powered speaker for rack setups, with USB integration.

Gemini 2 is a 2x12? full-range digital amplified speaker cabinet with integrated studio-quality USB audio interface for use with modelers and software-based guitar systems.

Mission EmPower Technology features multi-channel class D power amplifiers, active crossovers with variable EQ, and full range co-axial drivers, all designed from the ground up to work together as the perfect amplification solution for modeling systems.

Gemini 2 features a 2x110W internal amplifiers, 2—12? low-frequency drivers, with 1? coaxial high-frequency drivers providing a stereo solution in a single cabinet. Gemini 2 works perfectly with guitar processors with stereo outputs. Get the best out of ping pong delays, and swirling rotary speaker emulations. Create dual path patches assigning different cab sims to the different physical drivers. Blend clean and dirty signal chains to get you ultimate tone.

Pro-audio 1/4" jack and XLR connectors, high-speed USB, and optional Class 2 stereo Bluetooth wireless interfaces connect Gemini amps directly with software-based guitar systems on computers, tablets and smartphones, as well as dedicated guitar processors. EmPower EQ control allows blending between a flat or a more traditional guitar cab frequency response. A switchable stereo output allows you to connect two Gemini units together. The studio-quality onboard digital audio interface features bit perfect class 2 stereo audio with, selectable sampling rates up to 192KHz and 24bit. This allows you to play and record directly into your PC or Mac without any additional hardware.

Gemini's sophisticated power system provides a number of benefits not found in traditional guitar amplifiers. The integrated 100-240 input voltage and 50/60Hz compatibility means you can use Gemini almost anywhere in the world without requiring heavy and expensive transformers. Just connect directly to wall power wherever you are with a suitable cable. Power-saving features, such as a high-efficiency power supply and deep sleep modes for internal components, mean Mission Gemini's use a fraction of the power of a regular amp, costing less to run and wasting less energy. The included V-Lock power cable ensures the power is correctly connected, and protects against the cable being accidentally pulled out.

The Gemini 2 will grace any stage or studio. Each cabinet is handmade from 3/4? void-free, Baltic birch with a high-quality black Tolex covering, black basket weave acoustic speaker covering and chrome hardware. Guitarists using rack-mount guitar processors such as the Fractal Audio-Axe-FX, Avid Eleven Rack or Pod HD PRO can use the Gemini H, 19? rack head and build the perfect modeling half stack. The Gemini 2 comes with sturdy rubber feet on both the base, and one side and can be used with the speakers in side-by-side mode for normal stereo, or vertical mode for PA style use.

Note: In order to fully experience stereo sound using the Gemini 2 and certain rack mount processors like the Eleven Rack, a Y cable must be used. Sold separately.

Comments about Mission Engineering GM2 Gemini II 2x12 220W Guitar Cabinet:

The Mission Gemini 2 is the perfect stage amp (powered FRFR Cab actually) for top-end modelers like Kemper, Axe FX and Line 6 Helix. I paired my new Gemini 2 with Helix and couldn't be happier. It's the ultimate FRFR solution for that type of processor. An added bonus for Helix users is the easy hook up for stereo via the headphone-out from the Helix to the TRS 1/4"-in to the Gemini 2. Gives you a separate volume control just for the G2 without having any effect on your FOH output. Couldn't be happier with this purchase. Got a Condition 1 open box deal and saved a bit of change too - couldn't find a single flaw on the G2, perfect and totally new condition.

Comments about Mission Engineering GM2 Gemini II 2x12 220W Guitar Cabinet:

I have been an Ax FX II user for a few years now. This unit is replacing a Mesa Boogie 2x50 stereo power amp used with a pair of Mesa Boogie rectifier closed 2x12 cabinets. The Ax FX II is also fed to a pair of Bose Model II systems and I was using the Boogie for backline. I was tired of needing to create separate FX loop chains in AX FX to drive the Boogie. This new stereo cabinet sounds great, much better than Boogie for faithful reproduction of AX FX sets. Excellent build quality. I did a lot of research before purchasing. Many reviews mentioned 3 concerns: "pop" at turn on, fan noise, weight and handle. I'd like to address these since you may be reading similar things. Firstly, the "pop" ... it is no big deal at all, and many amps I have had exhibited similar thing. Normal, not particularly loud, and should not concern you. The fan noise ... from some reviews I was pretty concerned about this and even considered spending the 400.00 more to get the studio edition of the cabinet. When I turned it on I laughed because the noise is less than what the 50/50 power amp produced. Unless you are miking the cabinet and need absolute dead silence in this regard, have no concerns. The fan noise is essentially imperceptible for all practical purposes. Weight ... it is pretty heavy, but not perceptibly heavier than a single one of the 2x12 Boogie cabs I was used to. I probably wouldn't carry it by the handle very often, but the handle is certainly sturdy enough to deal with the unit. As noted, the build quality is excellent. It may have been nice if the controls and inputs were more accessible, but having them on the back seems logical to me, and, fact is I don't need to mess with them once the unit is hooked up. When I do, it is easy to manipulate the pair of knobs by "touch" anyway. I did try the USB interface a bit and it all worked as advertised. I highly recommend the unit. (But be sure to remember to buy the Y cable from Mission Engineering!)
