At first when I looked at pictures of this product online I though it would be weak and of very bad quality, but like people say "Don't judge a book by its cover." After looking at this stand with my own two eyes and actually using it, I was amazed on how well it could hold the clarinet. As you can see in the picture, there are springs on each leg to conveniently pack inside the bell. It would be nice if they were to put some sort of cushion were the clarinet is put on so the plastic does not scratch the inside of the bell and if you were in a hurry, you could fold the legs and stick it inside the bell and not have to worry about it slipping off, which helps when you're moving back and forth with the clarinet assembled. Overall, this is a good stand at a decent price.

This stand is extremely flimsy and uneven. You even have to search for places on the floor in which it will not tip over. DO NOT wait for the moment when your clarinet falls over and you have to buy another mouthpiece. Just buy a sturdy, dependable stand. There have been too many times when my Buffet has almost fallen over. I will concede, though, that the fact that the stand fits in the bell is convenient.

Perfect, if you aren't a bull in a china shop

Comments about Pack A Stand Clarinet Stand:

It's not made of industrial strength titanium; it's a small, plastic stand that folds up into the bell of your instrument. Brilliant! I bought one of these stands nearly 30 years ago, and I STILL have it and use it regularly. I use it at home, at gigs, inside, outside, you name it. I treat my belongings well, always have. If you don't, then you are likely to break this and complain that it's cheaply made.

Comments about Pack A Stand Clarinet Stand:

Disclaimer: I received a couple of these stands for free (from another source), so I may be biased.

I use these nifty little stands daily. They look flimsier than they actually are, and are very conveniently packed in the bell of most Bb and A clarinets. Fun fact, they bounce due to the springs. I've never had one break in the three years I am using them. The only slight downside is that they look industrial and cheap. But they *are* very functional, and inexpensive.

Comments about Pack A Stand Clarinet Stand:

Very inexpensive. Fits in any case. Low profile, so great for tight stage set-ups. Treat it nicely and it will last for years. Cheapo plastic locking nibs WILL break if you snap it around too much or step on it. Cheaply made, but baby it and it's great.

    Feet crack

Comments about Pack A Stand Clarinet Stand:

I love the concept of this clarinet stand, which I bought so that I could leave my bulky peg in my home studio when I was giving lessons/masterclasses at area schools. I used my first one for about two years when I noticed it had become wobbly. Upon inspection, one of the feet had cracked all the way through. I'm sure it would not have supported the instrument , which fortunately, I hadn't put on that day. Thinking it was a fluke, I happily purchased another one which I used for about a year when, while in use, failed, and my clarinet toppled over. When I looked at the peg, one of the feet was cracked in the same way as I had seen on the previous one. Despite the ease and convenience, I will not use these again and no longer recommend them for my students.

Good stand for a fair price

Comments about Pack A Stand Clarinet Stand:

There is no need to buy a $20, or $30 stand. However there is one small problem I have encountered, they are not what you call "super durable". I accidentally stepped on one of these stand once and it broke. But how often does that happen? Its all you need for a good price. It takes less than 5 seconds to assemble and disassemble and it fits in the bell. I strongly recommend it.

Comments about Pack A Stand Clarinet Stand:

This stand is handy for carrying in the bell of the clarinet, but it is so lightweight that when in use, the clarinet can be easily knocked over. Has to be used in a no traffic area.

Comments about Pack A Stand Clarinet Stand:

Very sturdy and portable, a great thing to have for long rehearsals where you play very little. A must have for all section leaders that spend great amounts of time passing out music but want to be ready when they are done. Overall an excellent product!
