    I originally bought the Patricola Cl.1S Eb clarinet (rosewood) for the university where I teach. I find that I use it more than the students now and love the beautiful tone it produces. I use a Greg Smith mouthpiece with it and the intonation is very good. It has been an excellent asset to our clarinet choir and wind ensemble. Compared to other professional models, the price is right! I plan to buy another one for myself!

    Comments about Patricola Cl.1S Eb Clarinet:

    I'm giving this one 5 stars because I love mine so much. The moment I opened the case and tried it out it seemed to play itself. It lets me do things I cannot on other clarinets. I don't have experience with other "eefers" for comparison, but the quality of this horn is superb. The keys are smooth and solid, the body is one piece, and it plays like a dream. It's extremely loud and expressive. I would say the tone is more oriented to jazz and blues than classical, it has an open quality to it, and it's easy to bend and shape notes. A great voice for solos.
