Comments about Proline PL700T Add-on 2nd Tier for Keyboard Z Stand:

For some reason, Roland doesn't sell an add-on tier for their Z-Stand. I researched other Z-style stand add-ons and this one seemed like it would work. It does. You take the plastic end caps off the backs of the top bars and slide these into place. The knob uses an expanding compression method to secure the pieces in place. The cross bar also helps keep it steady. I trust it to hold my Nord. Couple cons: obviously not width adjustable, so for those looking to add a smaller keyboard on top, not gonna work. Also, much like the regular Z-Stand, very cumbersome to transport. Very stable though, so that's the trade-off when compared to an X-Stand, which is easy to transport but far less stable and won't hold your keyboard(s) in place well.

Comments about Proline PL700T Add-on 2nd Tier for Keyboard Z Stand:

This tier worked very well for my keyboard stand. My current stand had round tubing, this had square, which I knew about. I had hoped the square would fit into the round securely and it did. The only thing i was unhappy with is this: On the cross support that secures the 2 sides of the tier, there are large plastic knobs for tightening for final adjustment. One plastic knob came off right in my hand as soon as I touched it. I could not re-secure it to the little "screw" to which it fastened to. Luckily I was able to secure the bar by using a Phillips screwdriver to tighten this "screw", without the plastic knob. Not a huge problem, but should be re-designed.

Comments about Proline PL700T Add-on 2nd Tier for Keyboard Z Stand:

I needed another tier for my studio keyboard stand. The brands and tubing size were different but by just adding smart wooden shims, this product was firmly stabilized.

Works pretty well with a Roland KS18Z stand.

Comments about Proline PL700T Add-on 2nd Tier for Keyboard Z Stand:

I had a Roland KS18Z stand and wanted to add a second tier. I thought I would give this a try and it works pretty well. The only draw back to that configuration is that the PL700T does not open quite as wide as the Roland. It is only an inch or 2 but if you need to maximize the leg spacing of your stand to fit your specific need, it does cause a bit of a restriction. Otherwise the 2 stands mesh pretty well. This configuration is very stable and it is portable but not quite as user friendly as an "X" style stand when it comes to set up/tear down.

      Not shipped as pictured

Comments about Proline PL700T Add-on 2nd Tier for Keyboard Z Stand:

I bought this as a standalone synth stand for my desk. In the photo it shows the stand having legs, however the stand does not ship with the protruding legs. I had to rig my own thing to make it useful for my synth.
