Comments about Protec Standard Soprano Sax PRO PAC Case:

I travel for a living and I always wanted to take my Cannonball Arc 99 Saxello with me. My Arc 99 fits this case with no problem. I feel it is super secure and safe in this case. My Arc has a detachable neck. My Cannonball Vintage Reborn is a one piece constructed straight soprano saxophone and it also fits very well in the case. It has a shoulder strap that allows me to neatly carry it across my back. Their is a compartment inside for my mouthpiece and necks and a outside compartment for neck straps and other accessories. It's also a very good looking case. I love it.

Comments about Protec Standard Soprano Sax PRO PAC Case:

Very sturdy case, good storage - huge upgrade from a wooden case. Might prefer fixed partitions for mouthpiece storage, but the flexible one works ok.

The bag includes soft wedges to customize the fit nicely. There is plenty of room in the front pouch to store cables, wireless transmitter, neck strap and more!

Another tank of a case from Protec

Comments about Protec Standard Soprano Sax PRO PAC Case:

This is a great case for any soprano. It has several movable inserts that attach to a Velcro strips on both the top and bottom, which allow you to tailor the case to fit your sax. One of the inserts is a sort of gripping thing that goes near the top of the horn to cradle the top of the body and prevent it from swinging all over the place, which is very important if you want a horn to stay in-adjustment. The internal accessory compartment has a movable and flexible 'doorstop', so you can turn it into a circle to act as a divider to protect a mouthpiece or neck. It has enough space for several small pieces (2 necks OR mpcs w/ ligs, a few reeds, pocket screwdriver), but a tuner or strap won't fit. The side pocket has plenty of space. This case is built very well, as usual for Protec. I got a length of 2" nylon strap and two quick-release buckles to make into lashing straps, which I use to lash my alto's rectangular Pro Pac to the bottom of this case and carry them both with the soprano's handle, and it could still take more weight. Normally, this would be the part where I mention a flaw or two, but I can't find any with this thing. I couldn't be happier!

        Generic Case

Comments about Protec Standard Soprano Sax PRO PAC Case:

Choices for after-market soprano sax cases are few. This is probably the best available, at least in this price range. It has a large outside storage pocket, an inside pocket and a storage compartment for your mouthpieces. It comes with a shoulder strap and has two carrying handles. However, since this is a generic case it is not designed to securely hold any particular sax. The area for the sax is simply a large rectangular space. There are three fabric covered foam pads with velcro on one side. You have to arrange these pads the best you can to prevent your sax from sliding around inside the case. In addition to the three pads I had to stuff a small towel inside the case to immobilize my sax. If you have the ability, it would be best to pick up some foam padding and velvet fabric and hot glue to customize this case to fit your particular sax.

Takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'..

Comments about Protec Standard Soprano Sax PRO PAC Case:

Very impressed.. very impressed.. I live in New York City and take the trains often.. and when someone bumps into you aggressively trying to squeeze into the train and your horn drops, you'll be aurprised to open it up and find absolutely nothing wrong. If you have a portable, foldable stand and a paperback cheat book they will both fit confortably into the very sturdy side pocket. It is not only water-resistant but waterproof. Would buy it again and recommend it to others.
