I've had one Red Hot fail on me in 5 years and I'm not a gentle drummer by anyone's estimation. The only problem I've had with them is they'll slide out from under most snare trigger holders but you can solve that with some double-sided foam tape from any auto parts store. Other than that, no problems. I use them to trigger an Alesis DM5 midi-linked to BFD (Big F&^%ing Drums) software on a laptop outputted to a Behringer 12 ch mixer which goes to the main PA board for live mixing. Sounds like a PITA but works like a charm! Anyway, the Red Hots are well worth the money!
