OVERVIEW

Dark and mysterious all-carbon fiber body with electronics that'll make you sound your best plugged in as well.

Designed with the performing artist in mind, the Concert Hybrid Series harmoniously blends the best features from all of RainSong's lines. In the case of the Concert Hybrid Series CH-OM Acoustic-Electric, they matched their most refined shape, the warm and responsive unidirectional Carbon soundboard from their Concert Series, the mellow Carbon/Glass body construction from their Hybrid Series, and an intimate short-scale 12-fret neck. This offers the perfect combination for an intimate instrument with a warm tone and surprising punch.

The stunning high-gloss finish on the soundboard is complemented by a visually pleasing satin body and the comfortable playability of a satin neck. Blacked-out appointments give the Concert Hybrid Series instruments an understated, yet distinctly suave, appearance.

L.R. Baggs Stagepro Element
The L.R. Baggs Stagepro Element is a side-mounted preamp/EQ that offers battery access and a full-chromatic tuner that is hidden beneath the control panel to maintain a clean, classy look. The three-band EQ with phase inversion and Garrett Null notch filter controls deliver warm, pristine sound even under the most challenging conditions.

Hardshell case included.

Comments about RainSong Concert Hybrid Series CH-OM Acoustic-Electric Guitar with L.R. Baggs Stagepro Element Electronics:

      I own this guitar.
I have had and still do have many carbon fiber / graphite / composite / and even wood guitars. I have played around with many more of the composites from many manufacturers over the years and this CH-OM really speaks to and for me musically. Love it! At this price point, the quality of build and sound --> wow... just WOW. Hope this helped.
Nuff said .... now go try one!

Comments about RainSong Concert Hybrid Series CH-OM Acoustic-Electric Guitar with L.R. Baggs Stagepro Element Electronics:

I've been playing forever. My first gig was Jesus ' Bar Mitzvah (Mary was surprisingly funny). I used to babysit for C.F. Martin. I called Les Paul, "kid." I've owned every guitar made since 1860, so when I tell you this is a great sounding guitar, you can believe me. Comfortable, lightweight with great clarity and balance. I thought "crystal clear " trebles was a cliche, but they really are. Most well balanced acoustic I've ever played, better than anything in price range. 12 frets, so you have to remember that. I play a lot of classical guitars, so used to it. Just enjoy playing it.

Comments about RainSong Concert Hybrid Series CH-OM Acoustic-Electric Guitar with L.R. Baggs Stagepro Element Electronics:

I started looking at Carbon Fiber guitars this year. I normally play a 1996 Larrivee L-10, an amazing guitar with flawless build and sound. Also, the Larrivee is darned expensive. However, I've had to case that guitar due to my 3 year old (He's a hulk smasher!) Also have another child on the way, so it will be some years before I get to leave the guitar out. It would ruin me if the Larrivee got hurt. So, carbon fiber seemed the best choice to withstand the child punishment. WOW, what a sound for a smaller bodied guitar! Note to Note is balanced and perfect. The action arrived quite low, no buzz, and very comfortable. The neck has a little more meat than my Larrivee, but nothing bad...fits my hands well, and my hands aren't very large. Due to the precision, you can probably get this action down really low, should you desire. Mine arrived at the perfect height for me. Bass is strong for 000, and the trebles/mids shine. It has really outstanding articulation with great sensitivity to input. It can hold it's own with a bunch of dreadnoughts, no problem. The body is 000 and extremely comfortable to sit on the couch and jam. What's not to like (love!)? I was really skeptical to go to carbon and really thought I'd lose the tone. Didn't lose out in the slightest. Amazing, and highly recommended. The 12 fret neck is also a winner. With the cutaway, I can still hit the higher frets without issue. Very pleased with this purchase.

Comments about RainSong Concert Hybrid Series CH-OM Acoustic-Electric Guitar with L.R. Baggs Stagepro Element Electronics:

This is a follow up review. I played my first outdoor gig with this guitar this weekend. It was pretty cold (fingers got stiff) but I had no tuning problems with the RS. Sounded great through our PA. The notch filter actually works - I had a little feedback but I was able to dial it right out. My biggest complaint is that the edges seem pretty sharp and tend to dig into your forearm. I would think it would be easy to build a curve into the top edge like some acoustics have. I've also laid down several tracks for our new album using it, and it has great articulation - very clear, crisp and balanced. It's probably in my head, but my wooden guitars sound muddy now. Have to say this guitar has fully met my expectations.

Comments about RainSong Concert Hybrid Series CH-OM Acoustic-Electric Guitar with L.R. Baggs Stagepro Element Electronics:

I've been toying with getting a carbon guitar for awhile. Mostly we play outdoor venues, so I was looking for a bulletproof guitar that I could play in July in Texas I read all the reviews and MF had a returned guitar so I took the plunge. I've only had it two weeks so this is my preliminary opinion. I've found that the reviews are pretty accurate - (1) the guitar has great articulation - I've got a Martin EC and a Taylor 522 CE (both are great guitars) but the trebles just shine on the RS and the bass is tight so overall it is very balanced. (2) sounds amazing plugged in - the balance and articulation really comes through. (3) it is indeed a little neck-heavy so it wants to fall down when you strap it on. Other observations: (1) I found the action a little stiff for finger style, but I had the saddle shaved just a little and now it plays better than my Taylor or my Martin. (2) jury is still out on how it records - first time I played it through a good-but-not-great mic I though it sounded wonderful, next time it sounded good but not inspiring, haven't decided if I like how it DIs or not. Overall, it plays good, sounds great, and I'm really looking forward to gigging with it. Last note, I love my the 12-fret neck on my Taylor, and the RS has basically the same dimensions, which was one of the reasons I bought it.

Comments about RainSong Concert Hybrid Series CH-OM Acoustic-Electric Guitar with L.R. Baggs Stagepro Element Electronics:

Wonderful Guitar !!! Do spend the little extra to have a Luthier Adjust the fingerboard action to exactly what you want. This guitar will NOT change once adjusted. It's incredible... The Fingerboard Action' Stays EXACTLY as adjusted and the guitar stays in tune. Rainsong doesn't make a guitar that is exactly what I wanted... so I contacted my Musicians Friend Sales Rep and Rainsong Support about purchasing this guitar and the EXACT Nut and Saddle this guitar comes with... to allow me to keep the originals and have a Luthier alter the guitar to what I wanted. Then, I had the Nut and Saddle replaced with ones adjusted for the lowest possible action with High Tension NYLON Strings, and upgraded the standard LR Baggs Element pickup system to the LR Baggs StagePro Anthem Tru-Mic System. The result is, I now have a Nylon String OM Size Rainsong with LR Baggs Stagepro Anthem Tru-Mic Pickup system that plays as easy as my best electric guitars, travels well and is impervious to weather changes. The PERFECT travel companion for percussive fingerstyle. Sounds Incredible played through the AER Acoustic Amp. Highly recommend this guitar!

I played this model at a local shop and loved it. Surprising amount of bass, and I love the idea of humidity resistance. Ordered from MF because they had an outstanding price. The guitar I received had a sizzle/tinsel sound coming from the high E string. It did not sound like the one I played locally. I decided to return it--cost me a hundred and ten clams to mail it back.

My friend recommended this brand because it is impervious to weather conditions. I liked the idea and purchased the Rainsong. I really enjoy it. I did have to return it twice because there were some issues with a string buzz, but MF were responsive in handling the return. I am not disappointed with the guitar.
