Comments about Roland Add-on Tier for Pro Folding keyboard Stand:

Love the base stand that this goes on, but the missed the boat with this tier add on. First of all, it is in 2 pieces. I think this weakens the design to have 2 Independent parts. Even a top cap of some kind joining them together would improve the design. (maybe i can design and 3D print one). The plastic elbows that connect to the base stand dont give me a warm and fuzzy feeling about stability. The pins and knobs are so close together that once you put the pins in the knobs collide with the pins. This is a major design flaw. Not sure what they were thinking here. The tier system should have been offset. Instead, if you have 2 big keyboards, the top one will completely cover the bottom one. =/ The specs says this tier holds up to 40 pounds. but anything 30 lbs or more feels like it is going to break it. I guess it is ok for small boards but setting 2 big boards on this like I do my Ultimate Apex stands just looks and feels odd. I just got this thing so I am going to play with it and see if I can find work arounds. I hope the designers at Roland take this info and runs with it. The base stand is amazing and has so much potential but this Tier add on needs much improvement. I also think this should have come with the stand at the price they are selling it at instead of having to buy it separate.
