Send positive vibrations with the Schlagwerk HP8D7 8-note handpan in a D-Celtic tuning (A, C, D, E, F, G, A). Handpans are tuned drums that are a percussive and musical mash-up of Trinidad steelpans, Indian ghatams, Thai and Indonesian gamelon gongs, and other such instruments. Co-designed by Harmonic Art, Schlagwerk handpans are constructed from a vibra-steel alloy that resists rust and produces clear, high-volume and beautifully enveloping tones. In addition, a heat-treatment process hardens the alloy and ensures tuning stability, the single shells are formed to control thickness and produce alluring sustain and overtones, and a special coating guards against corrosion.
