Reverse Tuning Slide!
Handcrafted in Spain, Stomvi trumpets feature detailed workmanship that is consistent, beautiful, and of the highest quality. Stomvi uses their own special formulation of monel in their piston valves that has all the lightness that monel is famous for, but with the burnished cleanliness and durability more akin to stainless steel. All Stomvi pistons are individually fitted to ensure zero-tolerance, high-efficiency and to eliminate air-leakage which can plague many other brands.

I played one of these along with a Bach Strad 37 and a Yamaha Xeno YTR 8335RGS and the difference was outstanding. The playability and tone of this trumpet is comparable to a Schilke B series at a much lower price. The monel valves played great right out of the box, but after a couple weeks of breaking in, they are unbelievably fast and silent. The reversed tuning slide allows for less air resistance, making a more free-blowing horn. Also the water keys have chambers to store excess water in, keeping both the tuning and third valve slides free from annoying obstructions. This trumpet is a very versatile instrument with which a variety of tones can be produced. I use it in both a jazz and symphonic setting and it sounds absolutely amazing in both. The case that it comes with is a standard Pro-tec case and feels very sturdy. The mouthpiece that is included is a heavy-walled 3C and is a quality mouthpiece. Also, the gold end caps and pistons add a nice touch. Anybody looking into getting either a Bach Strad or a Yamaha Xeno, I highly reccomend trying this trumpet.
