The fact remains that there are are no other “exotic” woods that have superior dynamic musical qualities than Grenadilla wood.

Cocobolo Rosewood and other types of "exotic" wood seem to crack more frequently than Grenadilla wood. They are porous, and absorb great amounts of moisture, causing critical table measurements to become unstable. Instability causes intonation and tuning problems.
