I love the applicator. Key And Rotor Oil works great on my woodwind keys. I have not tried it on the brass instruments.

Proper use on French Horn

Comments about Superslick Key and Rotor Oil:

This oil is best used only on the bearings of the valve. Use thinner VALVE oil such as Al Cass for valve body lubrication. Keeping the valve bearings well-oiled greatly reduces the amount of valve oil needed for the valve body. I only need All Cass about once a week. The pinpoint oiler is great for getting around the valve levers to add a drop into the lower bearing. Too many horn players neglect or don't know about oiling the bottom bearing. Newest technology in some manufacturers valves do a better job of keeping oil down there. For me, a drop every day or two keeps the valves working smoothly. A well-oiled valve will last MUCH longer than a valve that is not oiled enough. Remember, a valve bearing is a turning metal to metal contact point. Keep it oiled!

Too thick for F horn

Comments about Superslick Key and Rotor Oil:

I got this oil and it is way too thick. It slowed down my rotors on my Holton. Try a different oil. Blue juice is way better than this.
