Brass mouthpiece for alto.
The KALI alto mouthpiece makes an alto seem like a tenor. Its short high baffle and True Large Chamber give a fullness to the sound never before heard in an alto mouthpiece. It is a really fun mouthpiece to play. It is machined from a solid brass stock. Many alto players who never liked metal mouthpieces before love this mouthpiece.
The new Theo Wanne KALI alto mouthpiece is unprecedented in the history of the alto saxophone. It's higher baffle, True Large Chamber, and new Premium Vintage Hard Rubber truly set it apart. Very little has been done with large chamber alto mouthpiece, especially when paired with a higher, more contemporary baffle, until now. A whole new world has been opened up. You can now sound contemporary, rich, warm, and fat all at the same time.
Made from traditional manufacturing techniques, and natural latex rubber, we are proud to introduce the highest quality, most resonant, hard rubber available today in saxophone mouthpieces.
Theo Wanne's new True Large Chamber alto mouthpieces are breaking new ground. Large chambers have been widely explored in the history of tenor mouthpieces, but very little has been done with alto mouthpieces, until now. Theo's new True Large Chamber alto mouthpieces open up a whole new world for the alto saxophone.
Vintage and modern rolled into one. Order today.

I play hundreds of shows a year and I use the Kali on both my alto and Tenor and I have to say that it is simply the most amazing mouthpiece that I have ever played on. Imagine the fatness of an Otto Link with the clarity and projection of a Berg!! You can't ask for a better mouthpiece.
I've had a Kali #7 for six months, and I am still marveling over what it enables me to do. On one hand, it gives me more edge, power, projection and altissimo than I have ever experienced. On the other hand, I have just as much fun seeing how softly I can articulate low notes?easier than anything else I?ve tried other than perhaps a pure classical mouthpiece. I have been playing for 40 years and have tried a ton of mouthpieces, and honestly have never seen anything like it. It readily meets the widely different demands I need when playing in a rock band, in an acoustic jazz quartet, or as part of a sax section?I didn?t think one mouthpiece could excel at all three. It allows me to play at my usual controlled volume with noticeably less effort, and when it?s my turn to wail, hold onto your hat!! Maybe after I have it another six months I can objectively identify its limitations, but I am currently still exploring with it and any ?shortcomings" I might speculate on are probably more reflective of my own abilities than anything to do with the mouthpiece itself?and I don?t want to provide you with inaccurate information. All I can tell you is that I am having an unprecedented amount of fun playing on this mouthpiece and seeing what I can do with it?it opens up so many options that I truly consider it to be a game changer. I'll leave a more technical evaluation to other reviewers, but for me it has been well worth its considerable purchase price. I love the ligature set-up, and I also have to comment on the fine workmanship?the mouthpiece is meticulously machined and finished and I am proud to own it. For now, I?m saving up for the soprano sax version of this mouthpiece!
