Comments about Traveler Guitar EG-1 Custom Electric Travel Guitar:
I gave the product 5 stars, because they didn't offer a 4.5 option. The gig bag is really uncomfortable to wear. They should widen the strap. The onboard preamp is also really lame. These days, it should be much better. Nevertheless, it is an exceptionally well playing and sounding guitar with out the preamp. I actually used it for some overdubs while traveling. Don't buy it for the preamp, buy it for the excellent and very clever construction. I wish it had a low output neck pickup; but hey, it's a travel guitar.
I still prefer to travel with my old Steinberger Newburgh with a graphite neck, but this is a respectable alternative, and a bit lighter.
I really wish the gig bag was more comfortable, but it works.
The onboard preamp is pretty much useless with its non musical harsh tone.
The guitar is fun to play, even unplugged.
Despite the two aforementioned faults, I would still buy it again.
Pair it with a blackstar fly 3, and you will be ready to rock in any hotel around the world.
The tuners are a little quirky but the guitar was still in tune after a trans- atlantic flight.
Forgot to mention the onboard tuner. It works well and is nice to have.
