The Walrus Audio Slötvå multi-texture reverb effects pedal is a variant on their classic Slö pedal, with the added ability to create and save three presets. It is stocked with three different algorithms that are specifically designed to invoke otherworldly textures and to build lush, ambient soundscapes. The Dark algorithm adds a lower octave to your reverb trail, for creating deep and wide atmospheric sounds and channeling nightmarish environments. The Rise algorithm is an auto-swell reverb for beautiful cinematic effects, with customization options for shorter or longer rise times. The Dream algorithm is a lush reverb with a latching pad function, plus added vibrato and your choice of decrescendo timing according to the decay knob setting.
The Slötvå also features three different wave shapes accessible by holding down bypass while switching the algorithm toggle: Sine is a smooth and even pitch-up and -down modulation; Warp is an asymmetric pitch-up modulation, similar to a warped record; and Sink is an asymmetric pitch-down modulation, similar to a Bigsby. Additional features include bypass and sustain for adding a temporary or lasting reverb effect, as well as a Trails mode for determining decay die-off.
