Comments about Washburn M3SWE F-Style Acoustic-Electric Mandolin with Case:
It's a pretty thing when you get it out of the case. The case is something else too. There is a little emerald green pillow inside to protect the mando inside. Case is a little hard to get open. Would be nice if there was a tab on the lid in the middle to help get the case open. Workmanship was great, finish is great. Preamp onboard with slider controls works well. It's very light weight but very solid. It makes you want to keep it in pristine shape. Run it through an acoustic amp and it sounds great. If you run it through an amp designed for solid body electrics you get a lot of hiss and some nasty feedback can ensue. It's okay also when played as an acoustic, but I have a Washburn M1 acoustic and I prefer it for playing acoustically, it projects better. I play in a group and it gets a lot of looks as well as sounding good. It starts a lot of conversation. I like it. Pat B. Belvidere, Il
