I bought this bass after saving up for a year. Finally after buying it I began playing it. It is a dream. Well, for starters two pick ups equal more variety. Its body is very resonant and very light. The fretboard is slick and the neck is fast. The tuners are stable and the bridge is too. Now onto the sound my bass I named "Sinister" due to her dark gothic appearance and its dark chest thumping teeth breaking tone. So if you're into a great instrument but, can't afford that Fender, go for this you won't be let down. TRUST ME.
Don't let the price fool you. This is a quality instrument with outstanding tone quality. The pickups are top notch, very low noise. The pots are smooth and quiet also. Build quality and finish-perfect.
This bass is an INCREDIBLE bass to start with. It's extremely light so it's very easy on the shoulders. JP setup and 24 frets make it great for figuring out your sound. My only complaint is the jack, which is very prone to breaking. Once I fixed that though it worked like a charm. I learned how to play on this bass and it did not let me down.
