In my quest for a new bass, I tried numerous plywood uprights (as this was in my budget range) from numerous companies, but none of them sounded like what my mind heard. I had just about given up and was preparing to lay down some major debt and get a nice upright when I decided to try this. Before playing the SVB, I played on a no-name ply bass that had a passable sound, but was very low on the totem pole- so I was looking for something new to meet my rigorous gig schedule (8 shows a week for 5/6 weeks at one point). So after playing this thing, these are my thoughts- the SVB200 Handles and Sounds great, don't be fooled by the lower price.
