Plays like a horn costing much more.

The YSL-620 has a continuous taper bell section that improves intonation with even resistance in all registers. The chrome-plated, nickel silver, drawn inner slide is very durable and has a quick, sensitive response. The outer slide is one piece, drawn yellow brass and maintains an accurate diameter throughout its length. This type of construction ensures airtightness, smooth action, exceptional durability, and adds resonance to the sound. Long-lasting nickel-silver tubular braces contribute to the stability of the slide and enhance smooth slide action. Tuning slides are hand lapped to ensure an absolutely perfect fit and seal between the slide parts. The virtually seamless bell --fused by high-energy laser--allows continuous, even vibration. The unique slide lock design on all Yamaha trombones keeps the slide locked in place and prevents it from accidentally falling. Large, easy-to-hold, nickel-silver bracing guards against possible slide damage if the instrument is dropped and also lessens fatigue while playing. Mouthpipe features a special acoustic design that allows precise intonation and greater blowing control. Large rotor on "F" attachment makes transitions from the Bb to F smoother. The hand-lapped rotary valves provide airtight, light action for quick and smooth valve switching, while the string linkage permits flexible adjustment.
All Yamaha wind instruments come with a limited 5-year warranty.

Forget Bach Strads, YSL-620!

Comments about Yamaha YSL-620 Professional Trombone:

As a high school player, I've only used a student model until I got into Tacoma Youth Symphony. I needed class and a new pro horn with a know brand. Therefore, after a few hours of searching, Here I was. The horn produces a Edwards-like tone and is light and easy to use. Only con was the closed wrap style, I'd rather have an open wrap. Pros even comment on the style of this horn so it is a great investment. You won't regret the payment!!!

Played Holton and Conn in college. Have a standard Yamaha trombone. Decided to buy the YSL 620 because of the Great tone quality and workmanship. It's a well built ax.

Comments about Yamaha YSL-620 Professional Trombone:

When I just come from 8th grade to high school, I was using my old student trombone that i had been using for 3 years. My band director then told me to switch trombones and buy a new one. So i hunted around on this website and found this trombone. After looking around some more, i decided that this was the best trombone i could find and ordered it. Ever since i got this trombone my tone has improved, and my slide technique has improved. The mouthpiece that comes with the trombone is phenominal. And i would recommend this trombone to any new musician. I personally will be using this trombone for many years to come.
