Woodwind & Brasswind Brings Music to More Than 15,000 Students During Music In Our Schools Month
Since 2007, partnership with DonorsChoose.org has resulted in over $8M in musical equipment supplied to public school programs
FREDERICK, MD (April 21, 2015) - Woodwind & Brasswind today announced that during the month of March 2015 the retailer helped to fund music projects reaching more than 15,000 students through DonorsChoose.org.
Since 2007, Woodwind & Brasswind has worked with DonorsChoose.org, an online charity that makes it easy for anyone to help students in need. Public school teachers post classroom project requests on the site, and donors can give any amount to the project that most inspires them. Music educators can post their musical wish list based on individual classroom needs that range from ukuleles, recorders and sheet music for beginning students, to microphones and PA systems for theatrical productions, all the way to tubas, trumpets and marching percussion for marching bands.
