Music Industry Internship Unveiled at Music & Arts Corporate Headquarters in Frederick, Maryland
Frederick, Md.- Two brands within the Guitar Center enterprise will launch a comprehensive music industry internship program at the Music & Arts corporate office in Frederick, Maryland.
The program is designed for college students interested in gaining experience in the music business industry. Opportunities are available in the marketing, digital marketing, sales operations and merchandising departments.
"This internship program is a welcomed addition to our business model," said Kurt Witt, director of merchandising at Music & Arts. "We're excited to bring practical experiences to the next generation of industry professionals."
In addition to daily tasks and responsibilities within the office, interns are required to present a final project about a relevant topic of potential impact to their respective departments. Each capstone presentation will have the potential for implementation following the internship.
Not only is the internship program poised to prepare students for the music business industry, but it also brings students valuable connections to the industry's top vendors such as Yamaha, Vandoren, Conn-Selmer, Fender and more.
Students can apply for an internship during the following semesters:
• Fall Semester: September-December
• Winter Semester: January-April
• Summer: May-August
