36,000 students benefit from Woodwind & Brasswind + Ripple providing music classroom supplies
In celebration of Music in Our Schools Month, Woodwind & Brasswind partners with DonorsChoose.org to help bring music classroom supplies to public schools
Frederick, Md.- With a monumental number of projects funded, Woodwind & Brasswind concluded Music in Our Schools Month bringing music classroom supplies to public schools across the United States.
Woodwind & Brasswind supplied a record-breaking number of nearly 1,500 music projects during Music in Our Schools Month. These projects will support over 36,000 music students across the country. Since 2010, Woodwind & Brasswind has impacted nearly 1 million students and provided music classroom supplies for over 28,000 projects.
This year’s increase in funded projects is attributed to the generosity of Ripple, a cryptocurrency company. This organization donated $29 million dollars to fund every active project on DonorsChoose.org.
An annual celebration created by the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), Music in Our Schools Month takes place in March to engage music educators, students and communities across the nation to support music education programs.
As part of a longtime partnership with DonorsChoose.org, Woodwind & Brasswind spearheads efforts to encourage teachers to start projects on the DonorsChoose.org website, while promoting these projects to the general public in an effort to spike donations.
