Ace Products Polyfoam Clarinet CaseYou could pay a lot more for a great lightweight case, but why? This case is extremely durable, yet lightweight and features plenty of storage for the student.

I got this case to replace my old Selmer case that came with my clarinet in the 1950's. It's very lightweight and seems fairly durable. The fabric inside is soft and there are lots of pockets on thr outside. But when I put my clarinet inside, it didn't fit. Keys were pressed and the pieces didn't fit well; my bell didn't fit at all and I couldn't close the case. I tried putting my other clarinet, a Bundy, in the case and it did not fit either.
I got this case a few months ago and since then i have LOVED it. It keeps my clarinet very protected and has a lot of space. It doesn't look exactly how it does in the pictures but it is very similar.
I bought this case about a week ago to replace my old crappy case. The shipping took awhile, but it was memorial day weekend. When it came i was amazed by its appearance. It had a great design and felt sturdy enough to keep my instrument safe. I opened it and put my instrument inside and it fit snugly into the hard foam. I have dropped the case several times and haven't gotten a scratch. It has three pouches for holding other things. That is perfect for holding my lyre and other things I carry to band. I would recommend this case to anybody.
Although I just got this case a week ago, and have not been able to stress test it yet, I can already tell what a great case this is. The clarinet fits very snug inside the moldings of the case, and the storage pocket in the front of the case allows you to carry much more. I would recommend this case for anyone.
Just received this case today. I was pleasantly surprised to find features that were not listed anywhere on the web that I found. First, when you look at the picture, it looks like there is a main case, then a zipper pocket on the front. True, but there are two more zippered slip pockets on the very front that you can not see in the picture. Also included is a music player/headphone port like on many backpacks. There is also a built-in organizer in the large front compartment. The carrying strap is not a standard shoulder strap, it's backpack style. The main case compartment is well planned, plush, black lining.
There are two disadvantages to this case that made me give it an overall 4. At first, my Selmer USA CL210 didn't fit into the molding. After a little "adjusting," everything seem to be okay. I found that if you remove one part of the instrument from the case at a time, you can find which part doesn't fit, as everything appeared to slip in snuggly until I attempted to close the case. In this case, it was the bell... so I just gently used my hands to compress the molding to give a little more wiggle room, now everything is fine. The other problem is minor - the strapping placement does not allow the case to lie flat on the table when you are getting the clarinet in or out.
All in all, I'm impressed at the quality and features for the price. I would recommend this case.
