Comments about Adams MAHC43 Artist Classic Series Rosewood Marimba:

I have had a 4.3 model for just under 4 years, and it is a beautiful instrument. The tone that is made is wonderful, this instrument sounds like a marimba should. The instrument also looks great while in performance. I like the oak railing because it doesn't show scratches like the black model does, but they sound the same. For any percussion student who wants to focus on marimba this is a great one for the price. It is also very easy to take apart for transporting to different gigs. I also recommend buying the gig bags too; they really keep the instrument protected especially if you travel a lot. The tuning is to the 4th overtone, that is hard to hear in some settings, but overall it really gets the marimba to sound really great. My only complaint is that the cord wears out more often that I would like, and is sometimes hard to find replacements.
