For woodwind, brasswind, and string musicians, Bam is a premiere manufacturer of cases to effectively transport and protect valuable instruments. Since the company’s inception, Bam’s commitment to quality has made it the top choice of many musicians of all skill levels.
The first Bam cases were developed in 1980 in Normandie, France by Philippe de Trogoff and Laurence O’Neill. These cases formed inside of a family tannery soon became the preferred designs by the renown Selmer Company. Business soon expanded and in 1994 Bam introduced its wares to the American market with a production site in Chicago. Demand for Bam cases continues to grow and the company now maintains factories in France, the United States, and Thailand.
These lightweight cases feature a range of thermoformed shells to meet the precise needs of any musician. The Classic case features a single layer of ABS which is strong and resistant to shock. The Newtech design has a double layer with an airex and PVC foam skeleton. This case is rigid with an ABS outer layer of anti-scratch PMMA film. The Hightech model has a triple ply structure and full airex with a PVC foam core making it extremely lightweight and highly resistant to temperature. Bam produces its own polyurethane foam to be used inside the cases which provides a longer lifetime, great resilience, and protects against weather with a water resistant fabric. The interiors of the cases vary to either gently cradle the instrument or to position it in full suspension. Bam cases come in a variety of colors and high quality fabrics making them as attractive as they are effective.
Find the perfect Bam case for your cello, violin, or saxophone and trust that your instrument is in good hands.
