I was introduced to this ligature by one of my fellow clarinetist. He liked it a lot and said that it improved his sound. I asked him if I could try it in my lessons and I had not had a better tone than what I had when I played on it. I love it so much I purchased one myself and also have other people interested in buying one. I highly suggest testing it out. It gives the reed room to vibrate better than any metal or material ligature I have used.

I switched from a Rovner to this guy and I love the difference. I've been playing this for a couple years, and I've found that it blows free while still giving a rich sound. I also like it better than other cloth ligatures because it doesn't hamper the vibrations of the mouthpiece like others do. Great overall ligature.

This is a fine ligature. It gives you a bit of the covered sound quality of fabric ligatures but still allows you to maintain tonal focus and shape. Its projection isn't as powerful as a metal ligature, however I think it is plenty for most playing situations. Also, unlike other fabric ligatures, this one still provides the flexibility and quick response of a good metal ligature. Give it a try!

"Worth Every Penny...And More!"

First, of all, let me say, I have tried most of the big-boys out there when it comes to ligatures: Rovner Eddie Daniels, Rovner Light, Francois Louis Ultimate, and a slew of other "stock" ligatures, even that expensive Vandoren Optimum Lig! After having three separate sax teachers tell me I needed something else (Vandoren optimum was too bright, not balanced in all ranges, poor intonation and staccato), I gave this one a go. Man! What a difference! My sound is dark, full, and still sweet and projected. Plus, it covers the unwanted sounds much better without muffling the sound. It was worth every penny, and was cheaper than that con of a ligature Vandoren put out!

"great sounds with a bit of weak control"

This ligature is fantastic. After my Vandoren Optimum STEPPED ON and BROKEN I had to purchase a replacement, and I couldn't afford the Optimum again, as it's like $70 or so. But since my old teacher used this, I decided to try it out. The leather cloth keeps the sound warm and dark, while the gold metal pressure points project excellently. My only complaint, as with many cloth-and-metal hybrids, is that it is extremely easy to over blow your air. Not bad at all for chamber music, however. But perhaps only good for that, as you need more power and control for symphonic/orchestral circumstances.
