"Great Solo and Symphonic Horn"

The Bach D/Eb horn is one of the sweetest sounding Strads I've played. It is excellent for wedding music and performing soprano arias where you want a lighter singing tone than a C trumpet yet more body than a piccolo. I've also used it for the more delicate symphonic work where grace and elegance are needed over sheer power. When ordering this trumpet, choose the standard "EL" for solo or combined solo and light symphonic playing, or "EXL" if you are primarily looking for an open symphonic horn to supplement your C trumpet. I recommend standard silverplate or optional goldplate for beauty and resonance. Additionally, the Bach shop can build a horn for you with a factory third slide water key which is a great feature to have. Other options are available such as a #229 bell flare for a broader sound, heavy weight bell for more power in symphonic settings and deluxe engravings if you want a nice personal touch to your horn.
