In a poetic turn of events, on November 10, 2010, The Louis Armstrong Educational Foundation presented its first "Satchmo Award" to trumpeter and recording legend Herb Alpert. The award included a special Sonaré 801 trumpet handcrafted at the E.K. Blessing workshop in Elkhart.
