A version of the Maori string game "Double Long Poi," is a rhythm game for any number of players. With a poi in each hand, players perform various patterns of swinging actions to the beat of a chant. Poi-Poi is an excellent game to develop quickness of hand and eye, rhythm, coordination, anticipation, and agility, and is exhilarating to play.
Bamboo Hop is a dance game performed with two 'rope-poles'. Two seated players strike the parallel poles in time to the music while the dancers perform various step patterns hopping inside and outside the poles without being caught between the poles. This game requires a great deal of skill, rhythm, and energy.
