The Gibson Custom F-5G mandolin is a Modern Collection version of the iconic F-5 design. Tuned to the needs of modern mandolin players, the F-5G includes an unbound ebony fingerboard, a 14-degree fingerboard radius, no pickguard and a short fingerboard extension. The neck and body are made from figured red maple and are coupled with a carved Sitke spruce top. The F-5G features refreshed specifications, contours and construction for optimal acoustic response. A hardshell case is included.
