Comments about Glaesel Self-Adjusting 4/4 Violin Bridge:
Recently I had my excellent luthier (who lives quite a distance from me) set up (and adjust the action at the bridge) on a flea market fiddle I bought as a result, it has an excellent tone and plays extremely easily, so well, in fact, that I subsequently noticed the higher action on my other fiddles. Since I wanted, at least short-term, to avoid another special trip to my luthier, I decided to try the Glaesel Self-Adjusting (feet of the bridge can pivot to confirm directly to the top of the fiddle, for a perfect fit) in the Low action model (comes in High, Medium, Low bridge height). I am amazed with this bridge -- no need to go back to my luthier to adjust the action on my other fiddles. They too now play effortlessly and easily with the lower action, and the tone is the very same as before. I remain a very satisfied customer.
